The Irish Bridge Union is proud to send three teams to represent Ireland at the World Bridge Games in Buenos Aires, from 22 October to 3 November. With this being our second major international event this year, funds are stretched, and unfortunately, the players must cover much of their expenses personally, including taking time off work.
To support our teams, we’ve partnered with BBO to offer a special daily 20-board tournament. From Monday, 7 October, to Sunday, 13 October, you can play for a cause! The entry fee is BB$10 (equivalent to 10 USD), and all proceeds will go towards helping the Irish players with their travel and accommodation costs.
These are daily games with robots, so you do not need a partner to join. We offer both 2/1 and Acol robots, so you can choose your preferred bidding system. Check the schedule below to see which system is in play on each day.
How to Participate:
- Register in Advance: You can sign up for any of the seven daily games starting on Monday, 7 October. Registration is open for all games throughout the week. Simply choose the day(s) you'd like to play.
- Play Anytime: Each tournament consists of 20 boards, and you can play them anytime between midnight and midnight GMT on the day of the event. You don’t need to finish in one session—you can pause and resume as long as you complete your boards before midnight.
- Earn BBO Points: All games will award BBO points, so you’ll be playing for both a great cause and your personal ranking.

Important Reminders:
- Registration is open all week, but if you sign up for a game in advance, remember to log in on the correct day and play your boards before the tournament closes at midnight GMT.
- No partner needed! These are games with robots, so you can participate at your convenience without waiting for a partner.
- You can play in any or all of the games throughout the week.
