Winner of April's Stars & Platinum shares his strategy

Congratulations go to Cono Emanuele from USA who topped the podium in the April's Stars & Platinum, one of the great games you'll find during the BBOers Festival. He was consistent throughout, and in front from day one, scoring a wonderful 67.66. He went on to score 58.62% on the second day, and came home with 66.51% on the final day.

Cono loves playing with the robots and feels that this kind of play is really beneficial to his overall bridge game:

"Playing with the robots is good training for all players, and the more you practice the better you'll become."

He goes onto share his 3 top tips for doing well against robots:

1. To do well when you play with the Robots you must know and understand their system. There's a detailed system on BBO to review. However, you must also know the mathematical odds and be ready to revise them when the opponents interfere.
   
2. "The Robots are very good defenders and you need to confuse them whenever you can.  Don't allow them to count your hand.  Otherwise, you'll get a bad score.  However, this may backfire if they get the idea.
   
3. "During individual just declare games when the robots do the bidding and you play the hands, don't get frustrated if you're in the wrong contract because all the other players have the same problem.  Review the bidding and do the best you can.  You'll get good score when you make a good judgment from the bidding."
