Week 2 of NABC Survivor is done and week 3 is in progress. In both flights, two players outlasted the field and qualified for the live final in December during the NABC in San Diego.
OPEN FLIGHT
Leo LaSota (BBO: Leo LaSota) topped the Open flight this week with a 75.99% finish.
A member of the BBO Hall of Fame, Leo has been one of the platform's biggest names for years. He holds the ACBL record for Masterpoints® earned in a single year (8,320, set in 2020) and has led ACBL online points for 13 of the last 15 years. Now based in Hawaii with over 60,000 masterpoints to his name, he's a two-time eBridge Cup participant, and this week's win proves he's still at the top of his game.
Daniel Wilderman (BBO: daw28) finished second in the Open flight this week, scoring 71.46%.
A Connecticut-based player, Daniel has been a regular on the ACBL national circuit for over two decades, winning the 0–2500 Pairs national title in 2005 and returning to top NABC events ever since.
0-750 FLIGHT
Tim Tyhurst (BBO: apricotfox) finished first in the 0-750 flight during week two of the NABC Survivor, scoring 74.67%.
A club-level ACBL player from Ontario, Canada, Tim is no stranger to competitive bridge, he's a regular at his home club's sanctioned games and has taken part in ACBL national pairs competition. Topping the week-two field puts him firmly in the conversation as the Survivor race heads toward its San Diego finale.
Arthur Epker (BBO: 17Bart), from the US finished second in the 0-750 flight this week, scoring 67.14%.
All four are confirmed for the NABC Survivor Finals in San Diego this December, an 18-board Howell event where each finalist plays with a robot partner. Twenty players will make it in total, two per flight, per week, across all five weeks. Weeks 1 and 2 are in the books, with three more still to go (3, 4, 5). Each week is a clean slate, if you didn't make it this time, you can enter week 4 and 5 and try for one of the remaining seats.
