Week 1 of NABC Survivor is done. In both flights, two players outlasted the field and qualified for the live final in December during the NABC in San Diego.
OPEN FLIGHT
Finn Kolesnik took first at 73.04%, playing as fkolesnik. At 22, he's already a Bermuda Bowl champion, part of the USA1 team that beat Denmark in the final last November. He turned pro at 15 and won the Soloway Knockout at 18, the youngest winner in the event's history.
David Smith finished second at 71.83%, playing as Leftfoot from Lafayette, California. He's a winner of the Summer 2025 NABC Robot Individual and the Spring 2026 NABC Practice Tournament, and fifth on BBO's all-time BXP leaderboard.
0-750 FLIGHT
Balasubraman Sanjeevi, playing as sbala, took first at 72%. He's a regular top-3 finisher for District 99 in BBO's Clash of the Districts, and won the 749er edition outright with an 80.24% game earlier this year.
Kate Beardsley, playing as kcbeard, finished second at 68.75%. She won the 0-750 category of the Summer 2026 NABC Robot Individual, so this isn't her first strong result in an ACBL robot event.
All four are confirmed for the NABC Survivor Finals in San Diego this December, an 18-board Howell event where each finalist plays with a robot partner. Twenty players will make it in total, two per flight, per week, across all five weeks. Week 1 is over, but four more weeks remain, each one a clean slate. If you didn't make it this time, you can enter again next week and try for one of the remaining seats.
