  1. I played last night in the Gold event (0-750, starting at 7:30 pm). We scratched, but ACBL Live only had Black points, no 10% gold. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there an Administrator who can reply?

  2. I have over 3,500 points unfortunately I need 28 gold to get my sapphire life master. I am nearly 93 and no longer can travel to tournaments. We are finally having one in Birmingham in March, hopefully I can get a few. This weekend deal is ok, but when I think about signing up, is too late, since I am in central time. I play standard American with a few add ons. I will set an alarm for next weekend. Tomorrow night I am going to see Bocelli!

    1. no 24 or more hand games -- 18 is more than enough and we all have other thihngs to do with our days and parents to take cae of, meals to cook, shopping to be done etc. If you want to play that many, go to a club
      ,

  3. I like the idea; however, we have a previous commitment to play in the ABA's weekly team game at 8:00 PM. That one has 20 boards for $3.00. Still panning for both silver and gold points.

    1. Since these games are run in the Clubhouse, the clubs can run these games F2F for the same percentage of gold and silver, correct?

  4. I only have around 70 MP but I have to play only 199 pair. BBO should do a better match by open up the suggest partners of similar level so that long term online partnership can be established.

    1. I need a partner, David. I am ab0utn4 p0ints shy of getting my life masters. I can play most conventons and an willing to play your style

      1. Hi Francine, have you tried finding a partner through the Partnership Desk? In every pairs game, there’s a Partnership Desk where players without a partner can list themselves. You might be able to meet someone there and pair up for a game.

    2. i have a need for a partner. Needing less than a point f SILVER for next rank. Now at 135 master points - do you want to try being a partner?

    3. I have just over 100 points and need a partner. I have played on here more than a year alone or with robots.

  5. BBO could really improve and be more consistently fun by setting up partner matches. I would play more if I could find a reliable partner at my level. Partnership desks for individual games just hasn't worked.

    1. Hi suzi, it varies by game and Masterpoint limit. You’ll see the entry fee clearly listed when you register for each game.

    1. Hi Francine, when registration opens (usually the day before), you can look for a partner in the Partnership Desk, or add your own name there and wait for someone to get in touch. It helps to check back regularly and send a short message before inviting, so you can make sure you’re both on the same page.

    2. me too!
      j have approximately
135 master points, need less than one silver point to move in rank. i do not have a partner, always play with an unreliable robot! Would you like to give it a go with me? i do not play anything but basic conventions. Want to learn more when i can get into a class.

  6. This will be helpful to those who play in the evening games. For other players, 10% glitter points will not be attractive enough to try.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Tony. The idea behind adding a small amount of Red, Silver, and Gold Masterpoints® on a regular weekly basis is to make these rare points available to earn on BBO more consistently. We’ll continue to see how players respond.

      1. Why not offer more gold/silver in each game for those of us who can't afford or are physically unable to travel to tournaments where you can earn more gold/silver per event?

      2. It’s kind of like a 10% discount. it doesn’t even pay the sales tax in ,ost of my state. Haha.

But for a weekly bonus, 10% makes sense! sign me up!

  7. Like many players, I am always looking for gold and silver. 10% is hardy worth it… I suggest you offer a minimum of 25 or 30%, even if you charge a little more

    1. Hi John, as you may already know, Red, Silver, and Gold Masterpoints® are rare and are usually only available during special events. With ACBL Prime Time Pairs, the idea is to make a small amount of glitter available regularly, every Saturday and Sunday on BBO.

    2. I agree. There are many of us who cannot afford the time or expensive hotel and meal prices to travel to Regionals. We live in small communities where there aren’t any nearby Regionals.
