From December 27 to December 31, the New Year’s Countdown brings boosted rewards, special games, and opportunities to play together before the calendar turns.

You’ll find double BXP on many popular games, new Daylong formats for all skill levels, and special events created for every part of the BBO community; newcomers, casual players, BBO Royals, BXP players, and BBO+ subscribers.

Join a flexible Daylong when it suits you, or sit down for a scheduled game and share the countdown with other players. These games are easy to fit around the holidays and give you a simple way to celebrate the end of the year together. Scroll down to find out all the details.

To help you close the year strong, many popular BBO games will award double BXP during the New Year’s Countdown, with the same entry fees.

Same games you already enjoy, with higher rewards.

New! Daylong games for all levels: Novice, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

We’re introducing new free Daylong games, where the robots have different levels. Players will play with BBO's Ben (our trained bridge AI), set to different skill levels. With games for Novice, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, players of all experience levels can enjoy a more balanced game. These new games with Ben let you play at your own pace with robots who are not always experts!

New! Triple Chance Daylong Reward

Three score tiers. Three chances to earn BB$ back. Play 12 boards and earn BB$ by scoring 50%+, 55%+, or 65%+ in the new Triple Chance Daylong Reward, premiering during the New Year's Countdown.

Free New Year's Countdown Pairs (2pm US Eastern)

Every day, from December 27 until December 31st, join our free New Year's Countdown pairs tournament, taking place at 2pm US Eastern time (8pm Central Europe). It's free, open to everyone, with BB$ surprises during the game. Chat is open so you can have a chit-chat with other BBOers from all over the world.

Free invitational daylong tournament, dedicated to players with at least 100 BXP (BXP Level 25) and at most 510 BXP (BXP Level 38). Available on December 28. Free to enter for eligible players. Awards BXP.

Free invitational daylong tournament, dedicated to players with at least 510 BXP (BXP Level 39) and at most 1000 BXP (BXP Level 49). Available on December 28. Free to enter for eligible players. Awards BXP.

BBO Royals & BXP 1000+ New Year’s Countdown Daylong (200% BXP)

The usual free monthly game on the 28th for BBO Royals & players with over 1000 BXP gets a festive upgrade. It awards two times more BXP and, as usual, it's free to play for invited players.

BBO+ Monthly Get Together (200% BXP)

The familiar BBO+ Get Together on December 28 will be upgraded for the New Year’s Countdown to award two times more BXP. This is an an individual game for BBO+ members, with video chat and a very social vibe. You don't need a partner to enter; each round you get to meet a new partner and new opponents!

BBO+ New Year’s Countdown Daylong Games (200% BXP)

The usual BBO+ Saturday game for the BBO+ community will be offered every day, from December 27 until December 31st. It's free to play and it will award two times more BXP.

  2. Dear I playd a 200% BBO game on 28/12 ( yesterday ) and a 200 % BBO game today ( 29/12 )
    but my rewards are not doubled !!!

    1. Hi. Yes, you're right. The 200% BXP BBO Robot Duplicate games did not award double BXP as expected. We've already taken steps to correct this, and your missing BXP will be credited to your account in the next few days.

  3. I am playing on 12/27 on a ,59 cent game, I do not see any double rewards the reward values are all normal

    1. Hi Theodore, what time were you playing? It’s possible the game was played before the double BXP period started.

    1. The games will start on December 27th, running through December 31st. You can find the double BXP games in the All Tournaments > BXP Tournaments, and for the other games you can find it in the Special Events.
