As pumpkins glow and the moon lights up the night sky, BBO invites you to celebrate Tricks and Treats: Halloween Bridge, with fun, costumes, and bridge. On October 31, join us for free games, special events, surprise prizes, and plenty of shared fun with the bridge community. 🎃

There are 3 free pair tournaments lined up. Everyone’s invited, and they’re totally free to join.

Who (or what) is BBO Ben?
Ben is an AI bridge player trained on hundreds of millions of deals played on BBO, mostly in ACBL-sanctioned games. How to join the Free Games:
  • Click Competitive → Free Tournaments or the Special Events menu on BBO.
  • Search for tournaments hosted by BBOFest with the title “Tricks and Treats: Halloween"
  • Alternatively, use this link to access the list of BBOFest games (available 24 hours before the start).
  • Registration is free and opens 24 hours before game time.

Make your Halloween more fun with ACBL-sanctioned games. On October 31, all games, except ACBL Daylongs and ACBL Instant Tournaments, give you a chance to win a surprise BB$ gift, awarded randomly every 10 minutes.

Whether you're a regular in ACBL games or trying them for the first time, the Halloween Bridge is the perfect time to jump in. You might just discover a new favorite way to play, and maybe even win a surprise BB$ gift along the way!

Joining the ACBL Sanctioned Games:
  • Find ACBL World Games:
    • Go to ACBL World from the BBO home page, or click here to go directly to ACBL World.
    • Select any upcoming ACBL-sanctioned game (ACBL Daylongs and ACBL Instant Tournaments not included).
    • Everyone is welcome. No ACBL membership is required, except for Limited Pairs games.
  • Find ACBL Clubhouse Games:
    • Go to the ACBL Clubhouse menu from BBO home, or, click here to go to ACBL Clubhouse directly
    • Select any upcoming ACBL Clubhouse game
    • The ACBL Clubhouse is open to all ACBL members. All games award Black Masterpoints®.

    1. Hi Coolderry, on BBO, ACBL games are official tournaments run in partnership with the American Contract Bridge League — they award ACBL Masterpoints®.
      Acol isn’t an organization but a bidding system, mostly used in the UK. BBO runs some Acol-based games too, and you’ll also find others hosted by EBU (English Bridge Union) clubs.

  2. Traveling with our two Whippets through The Netherlands and Germany day by day the scenery changes but BBO is accompanying us already for years how lovely is that ?!
