BBO Release 6.44 is here! September 10, 2025

Another round of updates has landed. Some you’ll notice right away, others are under the hood, but all are aimed at keeping BBO reliable and enjoyable for players.

Highlights

BXP Challenge

A new premium option for Challenges. When you upgrade your Challenge to use Advanced Robots, you’ll now also earn BXP. Play head-to-head, enjoy the smarter robots, and collect BXP at the same time. Available in Robot, Star and Friends Challenges.

Challenge Reward

A fast, head-to-head game: play 4 boards (IMPs) against a random opponent. Each player pays 0.10 BB$ to enter; the winner gets 0.20 BB$, the loser gets nothing. Head over to the Challenges area to try it.

How to Find the New Challenges

Here’s where to look inside BBO to get started:

1. Go to the “Challenges” area

Look for Challenges in the Featured Areas menu.

2. Set up your Challenge

Choose your scoring, boards, and options. You’ll see the option to enable the BXP Challenge.

3. Try the Arena Challenge Reward

In this format you’ll play 4 boards against a random opponent, winner takes all.

Star players

A new dedicated Star title is now unlocked exclusively for our Star players. From now on, players with the Star badge will also display the Star title, independently of their BXP level or title.

ACBL games

Support for showing real names in player profiles, in selected ACBL-sanctioned games.

Behind the Scenes

Bug fixes & optimizations: smoother game list, profile fixes, plus general improvements.
