Following yesterday’s announcement about the updated BXP scaling, we’re back with a few more improvements to the system.
Today’s updates are all about making things clearer, smoother, and easier to use — with some new games to help players progress, especially in the early levels.
Clearer Progress Bar in your BBO Profile
Your player profile now shows your total BXP, as well as a clearer progress bar. It highlights your current level and how many points you need to reach the next. It’s easier to understand at a glance.
Improved BXP Lookup
We’ve made the BXP lookup page easier to use. You can now search, filter, and browse more easily.
BBO Legends Hall of Fame
We’ve also introduced a BBO Legends Hall of Fame, where you can see the top players of all time. It recognises the players who’ve put in the time, skill, and effort across the years. Visit the Hall of Fame here.
New Short Robot Sprint Games - With Bonus BXP
We’ve added two quick and low-cost 10-minute games, designed to help newer players earn BXP faster. These also introduce the BXP multiplier, which increases the number of points you earn.
These robot sprint games are especially good for players new to duplicate bridge, or anyone looking for a quick, low-pressure way to progress.
Coming soon
Soon, you’ll be able to choose which of your earned titles appears on your profile. As a first step, we’ll be introducing new titles for top players each month and each year, following the familiar Royal system - for example, This Month’s Ace or This Year’s Queen. More info coming soon.
Please continue to share your feedback
The BXP system isn't finished - but it's improving and we will continue to take on board your feedback to deliver a points system that is right for you. If you’ve got thoughts, questions, or ideas, please drop them in the comments below or post in the BBO Forums.
Thanks for helping improve the BXP experience.
The BBO Team
Why don't people just play
bridge, instead of this silliness? And why does BBO encourage it?
BXP are so totally useless. A player's MP level is more interesting and a better gage of their quality of play. And then when you allow the player to provide their personal skill level all that is completely useless.
A confusing and no where to go ask what a lie of high bxp number means, I just know I am no longer allowed to
Join games that I played before based on my bxp. Getting so complicated to just play bridge.
If there is a specific game you used to be able to join and can't anymore, it's very unlikely that this is due to BXP changes. What game could you play before that you can't play now?
I think converting to BXP was a mistake - too complicated, too many levels. Please return to the previous system.
how do i find the list of winners for a game?
Hi, if you'd like to see the result from the game you just played, you can go to History tab then click on 'Recent Tournaments'. Or you can also find it here: https://www.bridgebase.com/tourneyhistory/
If I am at level 71 , I don’t care if there 136 others are at same level !? Give me a percentage % , out Of All BBO players , What Percentage % , are below level 71 ??
Fix your chart !
