ACBL Fall Into Bridge - Harvest Gold Points

Ah, fall! It's time for pumpkin spice, touchdowns and apple picking.

From November 18 to 20 (Monday - Wednesday), you can harvest gold and red Masterpoints® by playing Fall into Bridge, an online regionally rated event. It’s three days of two-session and single-session events offering gold and red Masterpoints® – something for players of all experience levels.

How to join the games

  • Click on COMPETITIVE > ACBL MASTERPOINTS TOURNAMENTS or click on ACBL WORLD from the main menu, look for the tournament you want to register for, then register you and your partner. If you don't have a partner, you can find one from the partnership desk.
  • Scroll down to see the schedule.
  • Entries open two hours before the first session of each event.
  • Make sure you and your partner are online and ready to play at least 10 minutes before the game starts.

Things to check before the event

  • Be sure your ACBL number is updated at least 24 hours before the tournament starts. If you want to update or renew your membership, please click here

  1. Hi - the bulletin I received for November has me a few points below 3000 Does this mean I am ineligible for flighted pairs with a limit of 3000?

    1. If you are below the limit, you are below the limit. Assuming you have 2999.95 in the bulletin and you win 2 points before November 18 then you have a total over 3,000. But, the ACBL has a cutoff date which is always before the event. It may be even October 1 or earlier. This is because, you schedule to play with a regular partner and then have to drop out at the last minute. This is particularly bad in major tournaments.

  2. Explain the stratification. In the 1500 stat. can a player with more than 1500 points play in that strat? Am assuming 1500 is not the average of the 2 partners.

  4. We played in 1500 game this morning and earned Red MPs. We plan to play again in 1500 game this afternoon at 2:00. Wil the morning annd afternoon points be combined and converted from Res to Gold??

  11. I want to play in at least 2 side games to I can possibly earn gold points. Does this mean I have to play in the ‘Creaking Staircase’ game on the first day, and then again on a second day at the same time? Or, is it permissible to play in the ‘Creaking Staircase’ at 10:15 and the ‘Rattling Chains’ at 1:30 in order to qualify for gold? Mix and match times is the apparent question.
