Is the qualifying for finals an average of 56% from 5 boards if one board is under 56% but if you add the total of the 5 boards you get an average of 56+%?
When will we be notified of qualification?
Hello, there will be carryover for the final round?
Average of my 5 scores already above 56% in Day 1, I don't have to play D2/3/4 right?
Correct, once you reached your 56% threshold and a minimum of 5 completed Qualifier games, you're already qualified.
If you have one tournament score below 56% but you average 56%+ for the five do you qualify? Or are you saying all 5 tournaments must be 56% ?
cant find it
dont see any olypic e tourney. competetive / all tournament
So there is 40 tournaments and u gonna score just 5 best from that 4 days am i right ? and u need to have >=56% right ?
Hi,
Yes, those are what you need to qualify for the final round. 🙂
Are the tournaments "best hand"?
Hello, yes the tournaments are Best Hand. 🙂
How do I enter the tourney?
Hi Sood,
Once you sign in to BBO, please go to Competitive > All Tournament > search for the word "Olympic", you'll find 10 tournaments of it, please choose one of them and click "Play Now".
You can play as many as you can. 🙂
Shall I play minimum 5 tournaments per day? Or in any day if I play 1 tournament and score above 55% is this enough?
Hi Ozgur,
You can play as many as you can but you need to play at least 5 games to be ranked for the final round. Your best 5 tournaments need to be 56% or higher to continue to the final phase.
Thank you very much Jessy
Can’t join. Get a “cannot authenticate” message. What’s wrong?
Hi Susan,
Please try to re-login and register again for the tournament. Make sure your internet connection is good, too. 🙂
What means by international winner?
The title, 'Bridge Olympic eSports Week International Champion' will be awarded to the player with the highest score/percentage in the overall rankings.
Dont quite get the relation between tournaments, games and boards. What is min and max number of boards in qualification?
You need to play at least 5 games to be ranked for the final round.
Are we allowed to stream the games?
No, you cannot expose boards that have not been played by the other participants while the session is still in progress. Given that it's daylongs, it means you can only post about today's hands, tomorrow, after the games are completed by all players.
ty for info
The scores in the "qualifying phase" play no part in the final score, other than determining who is eligible to participate in the finals? In other words, the finals are determined solely by the average of the highest four (out of eight) games in the final?
That what would interest me too.
I'd be competing but the format of zillion boards to play. Fix it to some rational quantity next time.

It says: "and to win a trip to Marrakech to play in the World Championships (includes flights and accommodation)".
Question from me: What world championship events does the winner get to participate in?
When BBO ran events before the World Mind Games in Beijing, I won it two years in a row. However, I was not allowed to participate in any of the World Mind Games events, including the individual.
Hello Leo - the winner gets to participate in the World Transnational Open Teams Championship
how do you play with 3 robots if the conventions you play are not what the robots are set up with?
This is a key question and I would like to know the answer also.
All bids are alerted and explained automatically. You can mouse over a bid to see what the robot will understand.
Americanish world championship is a teams event. If you win the esports qualifier, does that mean you win flight and accommodations for your entire team?
Hi Bernie,
Apologies for any confusion caused. To clarify, the prize of flights and accommodations to Marrakech is only awarded to the overall winner of the Bridge Olympic eSport tournament. It is a singular reward for one individual. 🙂
Does that mean we will be in Singapore for this tournament?
Hi Judy,
No, you don't need to be in Singapore to join this tournament.
The Bridge Olympic eSport tournaments take place online on BBO. You can participate from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access. Simply sign in to BBO during the tournament dates and enjoy competing from the comfort of your own location. 🙂
Magnificent opportunity! I will surely play.
