Very expensive way to earn gold points
But the memories... priceless!
Fact is, when you play with the robots, you are playing a game that is related to bridge but as modified by the weaknesses in the robots programming, which are numerous. If you fail to take advantage of the robots, it becomes very difficult to score well. This is not to say that good bridge doesn't matter; it does. But so does knowing the robots' tendencies.
silly comments from anonymous there is no bot manipulation bot is a killing machine either you kill bot or get killed
Does anyone know where the distribution of ACBL gold, red, etc. MP's for results is posted?
The top finishers are all really good players, not bot manipulators. That doesn't work as well in this event when you score well on boards just for playing normal and optimal. Perhaps to the complainers looking at just a few results instead of the full picture - play better?
Not about playing better - nobody in their right mind would bid the way these players bid if they were playing with 3 humans and in-person. Get a grip. This event is a joke.
Really good players and bot manipulators are not mutually exclusive groups. 🙂
Congratulations to the winner! Very well done.
I'll not play again either! I have played with raw rookies that do the stupid things these robots do! The results weren't posted to your e-nail or to the ACBL website!
This event isn't governed by ACBL convention charts/rules. So you can do whatever you want that gains you an advantage. I don't personally do those crazy things and I finished 11th overall. But to each his/her own.
You need to stop allowing bot manipulation. I will never attend one of these events again and pay $34 (or higher) for this nonsense. You've got people opening 1 diamond with 6 card majors, 1NT with 7 card minors and singletons or not even showing their hands to the bots. Someone needs to review these and remove them from the results.
Why?
very true, this is not bridge, just messing around with robots
