Login to BBO on Sunday, May 11, 2025, for a special Mother’s Day Bridge Celebration. It's a great time to enjoy the game with our friends, family, and the BBO community with a full day of games, surprises, and prizes.

Play in our free pairs games, take on an individual challenge with BBO’s very own Ben, or play in the ACBL World and ACBL Clubhouse for a chance to win surprise BB$ gifts sent every 10 minutes.

Free Mother’s Day Pairs Games

Enjoy a big celebration pair game open to everyone at 10AM US Eastern Time filled with a trivia questions for a chance to win BB$ prizes. There are also multiple local games in the afternoon for the largest communities on BBO. Check out the schedule below—no matter where you are, you’re invited to join in with a relaxing game of bridge.

  • Click Competitive → Free Tournaments or Special Events menu on BBO.
  • Search for tournaments hosted by BBOFest with the title “Mother's Day”
  • Alternatively, use this link to access the list of BBOFest games (available 24 hours before the start).
  • Registration is free and opens 24 hours before game time.

ACBL Games: Mother's Day Giveaway

Join the Mother’s Day celebration with ACBL-sanctioned games. On May 11, all games, except ACBL Daylongs and ACBL Instant Tournaments, give you a chance to win a surprise BB$ gift—awarded randomly every 10 minutes.

Whether you're a regular in ACBL games or trying them for the first time, the Mother's Day Celebration is the perfect time to jump in. You might just discover a new favorite way to play—and maybe even win a surprise BB$ gift along the way!

Joining the ACBL Sanctioned Games:
  • Find ACBL World Games:
    • Go to ACBL World from the BBO home page, or click here to go directly to ACBL World.
    • Select any upcoming ACBL-sanctioned game (ACBL Daylongs and ACBL Instant Tournaments not included).
    • Everyone is welcome. No ACBL membership is required, except for Limited Pairs games.
  • Find ACBL Clubhouse Games:
    • Go to ACBL Clubhouse menu from BBO home, or, click here to go to ACBL Clubhouse directly
    • Select any upcoming ACBL Clubhouse game
    • The ACBL Clubhouse is open to all ACBL members. All games award Black Masterpoints®.

    1. Hi tom, the event details have been available since last week, including in the newsletter we sent out ahead of the event. We understand things can get busy!

  3. In first seat, GIB held xx Kxx AKxxx Kxx and opened 1D.

    LHO passed

    GIB’s human partner bid 3S, which the bot correctly alerted as a splinter ( ie singleton or void in spades).

    RHO doubled, showing good spades.

    Please explain why GIB now saw fit to make the truly cretinous bid of 3NT.

    The human held x AQx JTxxx AQJx, so instead of playing in the cold 6D for +920, went down - 150 in 3NT when the bots ran the first 7 spade tricks…..

    1. Yes, we have a few pair games on BBO! If you log in, go to Virtual Clubs > BBO World, and then type "Pairs" in the search box, you'll find them easily.

      For the Mother's Day event on May 11, we’re also hosting a pair game at 10 AM Eastern Time, open to everyone! There are also some local games based on your country, and these will take place after lunch. 🙂
