Great news, there are now free pair games available throughout the day for players of all levels. What’s more, you can play with your favorite partner, find one on the partnership desk or even play with a robot.

There are both open games and games for the less experienced players. These games started life in the BBO Carnival and proved to be such a big hit that we’ve decided to keep them on. Keep the spirit of the BBO Carnival alive, grab a partner (or bot!) and have some fun!

Candy Apple Beginner/Intermediate Pairs – Free Entry

Candy Apple Pairs is dedicated to novice, beginner and intermediate players. It’s a gentle, safe way to dip your toes into the world of competitive bridge, by playing against pairs of similar skill. It’s free, runs at 30 mins past the hour and takes about an hour to play.

Click on Virtual Clubs > BBO World and search for Candy Apple Beginner/Intermediate

Churros Open Pairs – Free Entry

The super sweet Churros Open Pairs side stall is open to all comers. This open pairs tournament offers you the opportunity to flex your strategic prowess and is perfect even for the most demanding pairs. It’s free, runs at 15 mins past the hour and takes about 50 mins to play.

Click on Virtual Clubs > BBO World and search for Churros Open-Pairs

How to register

With a partner

1. Find the game you’re looking for by clicking on Virtual Clubs > BBO World and look for either Candy Apple or Churros Pairs – click on the game you want to play.
2. In the Register tab add the name of your partner to invite them to play (make sure they're logged into BBO when doing this).
3. Your partner will then receive the invitation.
4. Once they accept, you'll both get a message confirming entry.
5. Now, if you click in the Entries tab you’ll see your pair listed.

Without a partner

1. Find the game you’re looking for by clicking on Virtual Clubs > BBO World and look for either Candy Apple or Churros Pairs – click on the game you want to play.
2. You can either use the Partnership desk to invite a player as a partner, or register with a robot.
3. For the Partnership Desk, click on the appropriate tab and invite the player you want to partner with. You can find out more about them by clicking on their BBO name.
4. You can also add your name to the Partnership desk list by clicking the Add your name button, then stay online until another players takes up your offer.
