From us all at BBO, we want to say a huge thank you. You're a valued member of the BBO community and have helped make 2022 a great year for bridge.
Thankfully it's been a much better year for face to face bridge, with more and more clubs re-opening their doors and multiple national and international championships to play in and enjoy.
On top of this, your love for the online version of our wonderful game has not diminished. You're one of the 750,000 strong community of players who've played on BBO this year. On average you spend over 2 hours per day on BBO; hopefully, the time you spend playing is fulfilling and fun!
Together you've played around 50 million tournament and challenge boards, 300 million casual boards, 6 million boards with and against star players and 131 million boards against robots.
As you may know, some of BBO's games are available outside of BBO. These are there for players who don't have a BBO login, or don't have time to login; and some of our games even appear on other websites (like Just Play Bridge, available on ACBL's website). Amazingly, over 1.2 billion boards were played by anonymous users. It's good to see that so many folk love to play the wonderful game (even if we don't know who they are!)
We've done quite a few surveys and have heard from many of you throughout the year and from our regular interactions we know how much bridge means to you. Thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge with our team.
Above all, thank you for making BBO what it is today. Together we can continue to improve BBO and make it even better throughout 2023.

It was great to discover BBO during the pandemic as it allowed my friends and I to continue to play bridge whether casually or with our bridge club. When playing casually you can 'meet' and play with people from all over the world. Most bridge players are very friendly pleasant people although you do come across the odd few that are aggressive and unpleasant. It is so easy just to leave them and meet up with others. Long live BBO!
