Is my “partner” nice?
Sure thing! All players sit South and play with three friendly robots at the table. Our robots are very polite and patient: they wait for you to think about your play and will hang around if you need to leave the table for a while.
How do the robots bid?
In the Premium Members' Saturday Game, the robots play a basic version of SAYC (Standard American, 5-card majors, weak two bids and strong 2-clubs). You can see what each bid means at any time by clicking on it. Also, when it's time for you to bid, hover your mouse over each bid option to know more about its meaning.
Other important stuff
- Once you start playing, you have until 1am US Eastern Time to complete your 12 boards
- The human player is dealt the hand with the highest card points. Always having a better hand makes bridge more fun!
- BXP awarded to the top finishers.
- As soon as you finish the game, a provisional leaderboard will be displayed. These rankings update as more players finish playing -- you can see an updated rank in the list of completed tournaments on BBO. Your final results will be sent to your BBO mailbox the next day, and they will also be available in History > Recent Tournaments.
- If your robot partner is the declarer, you'll play the hand.
