ACBL Challenge is an innovative format on BBO. It brings Challenge-style play into ACBL World, offering a new way to compete and earn ACBL Masterpoints®.
In ACBL Challenge, you play a series of 12 head-to-head challenges, each consisting of 1 board against a different opponent. In every challenge, both you and your opponents play with and against BBO’s GIBBO robots.
Each of the 12 challenges is scored as follows:
After all 12 challenges are complete, your results are added together to produce your final score.
That final score determines whether you earn ACBL Masterpoints®, and how many.
Important: Unlike some other challenges on BBO, ACBL Challenge is not asynchronous. Once you begin your set of 12 boards, you are expected to complete them in one session (you cannot leave mid-way and resume later). You have about 30 minutes for each bid or play, and if you log off and return, you have about 45 minutes before the challenge times out.

You must score 12 points or higher (50%) to earn ACBL Masterpoints®. The grid below shows how many Masterpoints® you win based on your score.
