Nikita is a graphic designer on BBO's design team and is currently completing his degree in brand design in France. We asked him about his work behind the scenes, balancing school and work, and what he's learned during his time at BBO.
Tell us about you, where are you from, where do you live now, and what does a regular day look like for you?
I'm originally from the southwest of France, and I moved to Lille for my studies. Right now I'm doing an apprenticeship at BBO while finishing my degree in brand design, so I alternate between 2 weeks at work and 1 week at school. It means my "regular day" really depends on the week: some are full design days at BBO, others I'm back in class.
What are you working on at BBO?
I'm a graphic designer here. Right now I'm mostly working on visuals for the NABC, which has been fun to work on with the team.
What's one fun fact about yourself?
I'm pretty creative outside of work too. I play piano, sing, and do theatre in my free time.
How long have you been working for BBO, and what keeps you interested?
I've been here for 8 months. What keeps me going is wanting to get better at my job, not just being creative, but also being someone who can adapt and jump on whatever's needed.
What's something players might not realize about your work?
Honestly, BBO is bigger than people think. There are so many events and moving pieces behind it, and I'm still discovering new parts of it myself, even now.
If you could describe BBO in three words, what would they be?
Community, Challenging, Bidding.
If you could leave one message for the BBO community, what would it be?
Just have fun with it, that's really what it's about.
Do you have any interesting or memorable story you'd like to share?
So... I once broke a door handle here at the office. Pure accident, I promise, I'm not that brutal!
