Continued from my upper comment... This other competition would use the statistical law of Student that takes gives a fair and rational bonus, the more scores you record. Hence a lucky initial average would still be allocated a much lower aggregated score than for players getting a lower average but lots of participations. the idea is that the more participations you have, the higher the probability of your average to be representative of your strength.
Thank you for your exciting presentation, Kai! This event enables players to play such an incredible number of deals, and be almost sure to get to the finals as long that they play enough. The 10 best scores rule encourages lots of participations and gives almost every player a chance to make it to the finals. Only the fewer players with limited time and/or money would be interested in a formula where just the average score would be taken into consideration. Perhaps such another competition could also be organized?
