Hi, I'm Avi Shefi, BBO: avishefi. I’m an Electronics Engineer, I have 2 dogs and a monster cat , also play table tennis. Playing bridge was a random discovery about 45 years ago. Then I start playing on BBO about 20 years ago. I become aware of the paid daily tournaments and the leaderboard about 8 years ago. The BBO platform is very convenient. I can play with robots (Fast tournaments), as well as with friends from all over the world.

I did not celebrate about being one of BBO greats, yet it feels great to be one the top BBO’s players. I told one friend of mine, and they challenged me for being a royal 'King'.

My strategy is to play tournaments which rewards a lot of BBO points as well as BB$ rewards. My favorites are Zen Ten and Zenith. I also play in daily tournaments like Daylong MP, IMP and Just Declare. And of course the festival's Country vs. Country.

I can play whenever I’m not tired. Usually mornings and nights. I play about 2-3  hours every day. I also take a break after finishing a tournament.

One of my tips are don’t play like robot, take at least a few seconds after seeing the dummy to plan your strategy for the game, and to be focused in every game like it’s the only one. Also, when you have bad results look for the reason. The other thing also, think twice before X (doubling) the opponents, tricks matter not points.

My favorite moment during playing is when I succeed in “pressure” or in “End play”.

What I love playing on BBO is Bridge could be a fun, fast, friendly game that improves your thinking and memory skills. And, there's always a new tournament every day.
