The BBOers Festival Returns April 6-8

BBOers Festival is back. Let's play for some competitive challenges or just for fun, you won’t want to miss this community event.

ACBL Glitter Days

During the BBOers Festival, a special Festival Daylong is available each day of the event. These Daylongs award 10% glitter Masterpoints®, depending on the day:

Monday: Red Masterpoints®
Tuesday: Silver Masterpoints
Wednesday: Gold Masterpoints®

Prizes: 10% Red, Silver, or Gold and 90% Crystal Masterpoints®

Country vs Country Championships

It's a big favorite. You play 32 boards, and have 3 days to finish them. Players are grouped by the country in their profile. There are thousands of players, and with a big field you've got the chance to win lots of BXP if you do well.

Prizes: BXP, and BB$ prizes for the top 50 - top prize is 100 BB$.

Stars & Platinum Robot Individual

An elite tournament for BBO Star players and those with at least 5 ACBL Platinum Points. Features challenging, pre-dealt hands designed to test even the best players.

Prizes: BXP for daily top finishers, BB$ rewards for the top 3 every day and for those who finish in the top 10 overall - come first and win 100 BB$.

Robot 3-Day Survivor

Open to everyone, with free entry! Play over three days, surviving each round by scoring more than 50% to advance to the next day.

Prizes: BB$ prizes for the Top 3 every day, and the Top 10 in overall result.

Express Rewards - GIB Pairs

In Express Reward – You & Robot, you’ll be partnered with a robot and face off against other human+robot pairs. Just 8 quick boards, 4 minutes each, Swiss format. Score 55%+ to win BXP and BB$ prizes!

Prizes:  BXP, BB$ if you score 55% or higher

Goulash with Ben

Try Goulash with Ben — a wild and exciting 8-board game featuring extreme card distributions! No partner needed. You have up to 24 hours to play at your own pace. Play with Ben, our AI bridge engine, and enjoy a fresh challenge every time.

ACBL Express Reward Individual

Quick 12-board individual games where you can win prizes by scoring 55% or higher. No partner needed, as you’ll be paired with a new partner each round, and everyone plays the same system. There are new games every hour from 10:20 AM to 10:20 PM.

Prizes:  BXP, ACBL Masterpoints®, BB$ if you score 55% or higher

Registration

  • Country vs Country and Stars & Platinum: Registration opens one week before play starts.
  • ACBL Express Reward Games: Registration opens two hours before play starts.
  • All other games: Registration opens on the first day of the festival.

Remember, these games are exclusively available during the BBOers Festival, held every first Monday of the month and running for three days. Come along and win some prizes and above all have some fun with other players in the BBO community.

  3. I've registered and my BBO deposit has already deducted US$0.10. Why is it that when I want to play now the yellow mark on "Country n Country games"has disappeared, meaning it has to deducted again. I have experienced the same thing twice now...

        1. Yes, Adeline, there was an issue with our platform yesterday. It’s already working again for many users, though some may still be affected. If you’re still having trouble, you might want to try accessing BBO using a different browser or internet connection, if you have one available. Since things are gradually recovering, it should hopefully start working for you as well soon.

  7. I'm getting knocked out of the stars and platinum game before finishing all boards (today after only one board). This has happened in previous months too.

      1. For the BBOers Festival, there is no specific rating required to participate. Everyone is welcome to join, except for the Stars & Platinum tournament. For that, you’ll need at least 5 ACBL Platinum points or a star badge. 🙂

            Maybe you can go to this link, log in with your account, and check the list of BBOers Festival games. You might find the game you were playing there—it’s usually marked in yellow.
