My wife and I started playing bridge in college in the 1960s, and we continued playing Goren bridge until we were in our 50s. When we moved to Florida in 2014, we learned about the “new” bridge and started playing again after learning standard American bidding and conventions. Along came Covid and BBO was a lifesaver for my group of friends.
I play with several people, but my main partner is Bruce Kelsey. For half the year we don’t live near each other and playing competitively online has been a very enjoyable experience. I’ve had a very good year largely due to Bruce’s skill level.
My two main hobbies are golf and bridge, but at age 77 I’m very thankful for bridge and the joy it gives me.
