Good tourney idea, I might've been interested now and again - but then I saw that it's ACBL. Why do people need to be ACBL members? It's not my NCBO - I don't see why BBO can't run this kind of thing without a random NCBO being involved.

BBO also runs plenty of games that are open to everyone — no ACBL membership required. We try to offer a variety of options for all kinds of players and preferences. 😉
I’m fairly new to BBO. I’m not sure what the requirements are for the various categories, ex 799ers….do I next x amount of Points. Is there a chart that explains the categories

The "799er" category is for ACBL members who have fewer than 800 ACBL masterpoints.
