How to join
Don’t miss this fun week, with lots of players and extra prizes!
Speedballs were fun when I was a pup, but too often the rush starts at hand one generating an unrelaxed mood, often the feeling to rush is used as an unethical tactic to eliminate req'd time for focus. I don't and won't play them. This is all about generating revenue and convincing a false value of points.
I think it’s important to have a choice.
Agree. Virtual clubs should have the same opportunity.
Absolutely agree with Denis Parsons. I have never played in a speedball event and I never will. And I am not known as a slow player
Forget speedball. There are better games available. Why waste time with this.
Dennis has a point which is supported by the rising popularity of 18 board (6 min/board) games vs the speedball (5 min/board)
Why are all these games of the "Speedball" variety? Not that my opinion means that much, but, I find Speedball as a form of a bridge game totally adverse to the idea that occasional thinking is good to determine a good outcome. 5 minute boards hardly gives one much chance to think, let alone finish a board.
