The 2nd Edition of BBO’s Bridge International Championship (BIC 2) takes place place across several bridge platforms, in partnership with the World Bridge Federation, from March 29 until April 4, 2021.

The BIC Transnational Survivor (7 Days) is a side-event that can be played along the main Bridge International Championship, allowing players to compete in an international 7-day long survivor, spanning from Monday, March 29, until Sunday, April 4.

In addition to the big 7 Day Transnational, there will be BIC Consolation Survivors every day, until Saturday, April 3.

BIC Transnational Survivor (7 Days) - tournament features

This is a 7-day survivor tournament, with robots, "daylong" style. Everyone is welcome to test their skills in Day 1, but you need to qualify to proceed to the next days.

Format for each daily session

• Matchpoints
• 18 boards
• This tournament is not "Best Hand"
• Deal pools will be used for increased security
• Top 80% finishers qualify for the next day
• You must play each day (or until you are eliminated)

• Day 1: Anyone can join. 3 BB$ entry fee. Top 80% finishers qualify for Day 2.
• Days 2 to 7: Restricted to players who qualified in the previous day. Free entry.
• If you qualify for the next day session, but you do not play it, you will be eliminated.

BIC Consolation Survivors - tournament features

There will be a BIC Consolation Survivor starting every day, from Tuesday to Saturday, as follows:

• BIC 6-Day Consolation Survivor --> From Tuesday to Sunday
• BIC 5-Day Consolation Survivor --> From Wednesday to Sunday
• BIC 4-Day Consolation Survivor --> From Thursday to Sunday
• BIC 3-Day Consolation Survivor --> From Friday to Sunday
• BIC 2-Day Consolation Survivor --> On Saturday and on Sunday

• 12 boards, Matchpoints, not best hand
• Day 1: Anyone can join. 3 BB$ entry fee. Top 80% finishers qualify for Day 2.
• Days 2 to Sunday: Restricted to players who qualified in the previous day. Free entry.
• If you qualify for the next day session, but you do not play it, you will be eliminated.

Good to know about the BIC Survivors

• This is an individual tournament. All tables consists of a single human player, sitting South, with three robot players sitting in the other three seats. 
• Each daily session lasts 24 hours: it starts at midnight US Central time and ends at midnight US Central the next day. You can register, play at your own pace, leave the table, then resume the game any time through the day, as long as you complete your boards before the tourney ends (at midnight).
• This is not a Best Hand tourney.
• This tourney utilizes Human Declare: The human player declares for his robot partner when their side wins the contract.
• Deal Pool will also be used: Not everyone will be dealt the same boards.

Results
Results will be sent to your BBO Mailbox the next day, after the tournament ends. You can also see a provisional leaderboard at any time in the list of Completed Tournaments, in Competitive ► All tournaments, after you have finished playing.

About the robots
The robots play a relatively simple and natural bidding system. During play, you can find out the meaning of any bid by clicking on that bid in the bidding diagram. When it's your turn to bid, moving your mouse over the bid buttons will display an explanation of the bid you are considering (as your robot partner will understand it). These explanations can be somewhat cryptic, but reading them carefully before you bid will help you to avoid misunderstandings with your robot partner.
