  1. Je n'ai besoin pour le moment que des points d'or. A quand la prochaine opportunité de gagner les points d'or?

    Merci

  2. next time please try to make half or more as MP games rather than IMP games. Also, my Virtual Club game runs until just after 3:00 PM.

  3. Quite misleading, imho. Club games should be for the actual brick&mortar clubs. We need to support our local units; keep bridge alive!

  4. Registration is usually cancelled when one of the players is not online at start time, or if one of the players is playing somewhere else. It's usually a good idea to check on your partner a few minutes before the game is about to start, to see if they're online and available.

  5. This title is VERY misleading. I presumed it meant Club Championships for ACBL Virtual Clubs. I had to read a bunch of garbage about cost before I finally figured things out. Surely you could have found a better way to title this so that I (and, I suspect, many others) would not have been misled.

    1. This is the first sentence ..The regular ACBL Speedball games; the 10AM, the 3PM and the 8PM games — will be replaced by ACBL Club Championship Games. Sorry you feel this is misleading. Not the intention.

      1. I shouldn't have to read anything but the title. It says: "October 19-25: Play in ACBL Club Championship Games." When I see "Club," I think of "Virtual Club," the things we used to have that held Club Championships. Why would I (or anyone) think to read further?

      1. next time please try to make half or more as MP games rather than IMP games. Also, my Virtual Club game runs until just after 3:00 PM

  6. After a weekend of lousy attendance at our virtual club because of regional, you are now trying to snag away more players with CLUB championship games? Shouldn't those be reserved for CLUBS? Just sayin'

    1. Hi Arlene,

I can understand your frustration, but BBO is also a club, like your virtual club, therefore 4X a year we hold Club championship games. They are only in our speedball games, so not competitive with your 18 board games which usually cater to different players.

      1. Saying BBO is a club just like our local clubs is like saying Amazon is just like our local 5 and Dime. Oh wait they are out of business .......

  7. These are called Club Championships, but do they award ACBL black points like club games do?

  8. Don’t feel too bad....you can always win a international championship tournament and not be acknowledged with a star by your name even after you show them proof?????????????????! ❤️❤️Porsche33

  9. Like others, I'd like to know the cost. Also, if this is Club Championships shouldn't you be awarding silver points instead of just extra black points. I also agree with the Canadians on the cost of the Regional Games - $15 is way too much and for Canadians it's not fair. Even our Regional in person games only cost $12. Seems a little steep!

    1. BBO specific club games, like speedballs don't offer black points. They are unpigmented, also for club championship games. The difference will be more masterpoints and BB$ prizes.

  10. Need more details on card fees. I understand that this is a regular speedball game upgraded to Club Championship status.

    1. Yes, only speedball games. Same 1.25, no added cost. Starts are broken up in 3rd based on field, same as usual.

  11. Why is the ACBL competing against its own clubs? Have these games through virtual clubs. If we ever go back to normal if the clubs don't exist neither will the ACBL

    1. This news post is about BBOs club championship gsmes, not the ACBL regional online. BBO has always held their own games over the years.

      1. Yes, but by increasing the mp awards for $1.25 games to club championship levels, you are making these games a threat to brick and mortar clubs.

      2. Did not comment on regional. But is unseemly for BBO along with ACBL to take advantage of brick and mortar clubs during a pandemic.

  12. Please games don’t cost $30 for a Canadian player. It costs almost $60. That’s too much and way more than the exchange rate. What’s the extra money for?

    1. I think you're referring to the ACBL online regional. This news post is about BBO's club championship games. 1.25 for 12 boards same cost as always 🙂

    1. 1.25, no increase in cost. You don't need to be a paid to date acbl member to play but you won't receive acbl masterpoints. You can pay your acbl dues though acbl website.
