The Tournaments section is where you can play organised competitive bridge on BBO. It includes scheduled, timed tournaments as well as play at your own pace formats such as Instant Tournaments and Daylongs. Robot tournaments are also available here.
Real-Time Tournaments
Games that start at a scheduled time and are played in real time against other players.
- ACBL Masterpoint Tournaments: Award official ACBL Masterpoints.
- BXP Tournaments: Award Bridge Experience Points (BXP).
- Robot Tournaments: Played with BBO’s GIBBO robots.
- Free Tournaments: No entry fee, available in multiple formats.
- ACBL e-Clubs: Online games organized by ACBL-sanctioned clubs.
- All Tournaments: A complete list of all available tournaments.
Other Tournaments
Formats that offer more flexibility in when you play.
- Daylong Tournaments: Run for 24 hours, allowing you to start at any time, take breaks, and resume later without losing your progress. Final results are available once the tournament ends.
- Instant Tournaments: Start immediately and provide instant results. Play at your own pace, as they are not timed. In most variations, once you begin a set, it must be completed in full.
