How to use BBO Video Chat

Video chat on BBO helps to bridge the gap between online and offline bridge. It allows you to play bridge, and have fun with your fellow competitors. As shown on the screenshot you can see the other folks at the table - it helps make online bridge more sociable.

What's more, video chat is free to use. If you'd like to use it with your friends, click here to request access from the BBO support team.

You might wonder, why isn't it just turned on for everyone by default? It's important that everyone uses video chat responsibly. As with all things online, should it get into the wrong hands, it could be used inappropriately.

Once you have access, you'll be able to start a table with video chat. You can use it at practice tables or at casual tables. Here's how to set up a table with video chat:

Set up a table as the host, and write +video+ in your table description as shown below.

When you start the table, reserve seats for all the players (including your own) who you want to invite to video chat. Only players with seats reserved will be able to see and join the video chat.

The video chat box will appear on the right of the table. Click "Join" to get started.

You'll be asked to allow BBO to use your camera and microphone. Click Allow.

Now you're ready to have fun using video chat.
